Using the ProTorq Drum Key

1) Pick a starting point on the dial 1-8 (The numbers are relative and do not correspond to any specific pitch, go beyond 8 to the next revolution for more tension)

2) Move the plastic-tipped steel rod to the Red Dot (A).

3) Tighten the first drum lug until the rod clicks off the Red Dot (B).

4) Move the rod back to the Red Dot and tighten the opposite lug. When all lugs are tightened to the selected setting, they will be under equal tension and be in relative tune with each other.

• Tip: Take note of the dial’s numbers to remember your tension settings.
